To be frank, we didn't pay much attention when an old Cherry Creek pub transformed itself into, well, this new Cherry Creek pub a few weeks back. It certainly wouldn't have occurred to us to check out its Korean fried chicken (we've got Funny Plus for that). But word of mouth about its excellence kept spreading, so we reconsidered — and lo and behold, the rumors (and blog shout-outs) are true. Accompanied by ramekins of sweet chile–peanut sauce and carrot–red cabbage kimchi, chef Ray Clinton's juicy take on the trend is legit, with each piece enveloped in a vodka-spiked coating so cracklingly thin it's more like a second skin.
